Mohammad Tariq Shaheed was born on 10 March 1956 to Qazi Mohammad Sharif and Taj Bibi. His family belonged to distric Attock in province Punjab. After doing his matric, he joined Pakistan Navy in 1973 and was to retire in December, 1997. Due to service requirements, he was asked to continue and was to retire again in December, 1999.
Tariq used to play basket ball and had interest in reading books. He had a pleasant and witty nature. During his more than two decade stay in Pakistan Navy, he transferred knowledge to lot of students who today remember him for his professionalism, zeal and
